Does the law cover nano chemicals?

The law on chemicals comes from the European Union (EU) and applies across all EU Member States, including the UK. The principal law is the REACH Regulation which stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances.

Unless they meet certain requirements, manufacturers and importers cannot place chemical substances on the EU market. REACH is enforced in the UK by the Health & Safety Executive.
