Nano in textiles and clothing: does the law make it safe?

There are a number of laws relating to textile products. These come from the EU, and apply in all EU Member States including the UK.

What do we mean by ‘textile products’?

A textile product is anything which is made wholly, or mostly, with textile fibres. This can include lots of things, such as clothing, furniture, carpets, and bed linen.

Who enforces these laws in the UK?

Local authority trading standards departments.
